Biography
Cristobal Abugaber is a Mexican writer/director based in New York. He began his career in 2012, creating commercials in México before shifting to fiction. His latest short film, The Perfect Tomato (2024), premiered at the Guanajuato International Film Festival in Mexico and won the Outstanding International Short Narrative award at the Anchorage International Film Festival. He is currently pursuing an MFA in filmmaking at Columbia University and developing his first feature film.
