Directing
Sören and Melchior got lost in the woods. While Sören desperately looks for a way out, Melchior enjoys the fresh air and the drive into the blue. At a lonely gas station, the two get into a heated argument and Melchior takes off. Left on his own, Sören drives through the increasingly surreal forest which becomes denser and denser and finally invades his mind. Through the overwhelming trip, Sören finds back to his inner self.
In a quiet stop-motion studio, a small monkey opens its eyes. Everything around it feels frozen. On a computer screen, a luminous jungle appears, distant, almost alive. With two companions, he sets out to create one of their own, using whatever they can find. A forest shaped by imagination, their only way out.
Inspired by an anecdote from booming 1980s Tokyo, this is the glamorous story of vicious property shark Akio Kashiwagi.
