Biography
Distinguished Artist Văn Hiệp (born in Hanoi, 25 March 1942 - 9 April 2013) was a Vietnamese actor and famous comedian whose career spans over 40 years in film, TV and theater. He is best remembered for his role as the village chief in the comedy series "Weekend Meetup" (VTV3, 2000-2006).
Known For
Vietnam's annual satirical comedy TV special that airs on Lunar New Year's Eve on VTV. Known for its comedic take on the socio-political and economic issues of the year in Vietnam, the show is considered a television staple of the Vietnamese New Year holiday.
