Biography
He graduated with a degree in Audiovisual Arts from the University of Guadalajara in 2021. He has expanded his training through various workshops and courses, most notably the AMC workshop “How to Make a Film from Beginning to End from the Director’s Perspective”, taught by figures such as Carlos Bolado, Michel Franco, and Guillermo Arriaga. He was the director and screenwriter of the short film “The Farewells” (2021), which received an Honorable Mention at the Independent Shorts Awards. It was also selected for the Monterrey International Film Festival and Shorts México. He is currently in the post production stage of his documentary “Pajarito” (2026) and distributing the short film “Us” (2026), written and directed by him, featuring Germán Bracco, Mateo Valles, Daniel Giménez Cacho, and Gisselle Kuri.

Tomás is a young man who watches his absent father repeat, with his younger brother Octavio, the same patterns and lies he once used with him. To make up for missing Octavio’s birthday, their father invites him on a fishing trip and asks Tomás to drive him halfway. What begins as a simple half-day errand turns into a revealing journey, where the brothers must come to terms with the fact that their experiences with their father will never return, while Tomás realizes that, for a long time, he has been the closest thing to a true father for Octavio.

Martinez, an embittered Chilean in his sixties who has lived in Mexico for the past 40 years and is being forced to retire from his job. As he struggles with life changes, a neighbor suddenly dies and as he sifts through her diary and her things, he begins to live vicariously through her and find new meaning in life.
