Biography
Charlie Johan James Vjestica is an Award Winning filmmaker Based in Manchester, United Kingdom. Growing up in the borough of Stockport, he was introduced to the world of film via blockbusters such as Sam Raimi's original Spiderman trilogy and Michael Bay's Transformers movies. As well as being shown more classical pieces of film by his father such as Don Chaffey's 1963 movie Jason and the Argonauts, he considers these films to be the original driving force behind his fascination and admiration for the world of cinema, as they showcased timeless techniques of filmmaking that define the age they're a part of. in his younger years he pursued an acting career, appearing in a multitude of stage productions across his home town, going on to win a N.O.D.A award for the best youth comedy performance category in 2019. His pursuit of an acting career came to a standstill as he began to reevaluate his career path. Although, he still maintains a high admiration for actors and the art as a whole, with his experience giving him the skills necessary to direct actors accordingly and respectfully. his work has received global acclaim, collecting over 20 Awards for his growing filmography. with a high amount of our praise coming from the hit short documentary 'INSIDE: Narrative Of Our Journey' (2023). His work spreads further into the freelance scene, working under the belt of people like Britain’s Got Talent Winner John Courtenay, The Hallé Orchestra, The BFI and many others. As well as this, he's also had the honour of using my using his photography skills on beloved music artists such as justice, Piri and others.
