Hamburg, May 1945, English troops occupy the city. The gates of the concentration camps open. The Germans speak of collapse and take care of everyday life. Only a few feel liberated and think of a new beginning. At the end there is a poem by Ingeborg Bachmann: We'll end the rut, otherwise the end will be spoiled.

How do blind people perceive the world and which sensory impressions remain hidden from sighted people? The experimental film explores this question in a multi-layered way. A sculptor's workshop, a painting museum and an orchestra become the settings for the richness that the perceptions of the different senses bring with them. Sound and image merge and bring the theme to life.

Satire about German front gardens: A commentary on the coexistence of many well-behaved German citizens, regulated by house rules and assembly resolutions, with special consideration given to their garden "culture." How characteristics such as demarcation, control, narrow-mindedness, and conformity are reflected in the design of gardens.
