Emili and her mother run a small restaurant in a forgotten town in Mexico. Surprisingly, a major tv network has announced an open casting call. Emili, who dreams of becoming an actress, sees it as the opportunity of a lifetime. She has the support of her friends, El Maradona and Antonia, who believe she can make it. However, her lack of confidence and her mother’s pressure to stay and help with the restaurant make her question whether going to the casting is the right decision. All of this unfolds while the town’s eyes and ears are consumed by football.
