Biography
Susan Hickman is a voice actor known primarily for English dub work including Kiki's Delivery Service (1989) and Castle in the Sky (1986). Susan was born in Griffin, Georgia to Charles D. Pitts and Catherine Carver. She attended the University of Georgia on a Theatre scholarship and during her senior year moved to New York City to embark on her professional acting career. She joined the Screen Actors Guild in 1979 in New York and had a thriving TV commercial career. Moving to Los Angeles in 1982, she met and married Hudson Hickman in 1983. She then embarked on a looping/voiceover career to give her more time to spend with their two young daughters, Katherine & Sarah. She has performed intermittently in stage plays and films and in 2023 she and Hudson will celebrate 40 years of marriage.
