These are the stories of relationships taking place in the fictional five-star hotel Fürstenhof, located in Feldkirchen-Westerham near Rosenheim with the plot revolving around members of the family room area, the hotel owners, and employees.

A team of inspectors investigates murders in and around the small Upper Bavarian town of Rosenheim, and they still have plenty of time to see idyllic landscapes and luxurious pre-alpine villas and enjoy sumptuous Bavarian fare with beer.

Then Marie accidentally becomes pregnant herself. In the midst of a family still overshadowed by trauma, Marie struggles with the decision for or against an abortion. Pit Handlos has invested a lot of money in a dubious beauty product distribution business and has been trying to sell the products to former girlfriends ever since. He hides the decline of his middle-class existence behind a pretended facade of success. After losing his apartment, he moves in with his son Flo and his son's goth girlfriend Moni under a pretext and becomes entangled in untruths. When his reunion with his childhood sweetheart Christiane ends in a customer meeting and Christiane turns away disappointed, Pit realizes that something is going wrong. Only slowly does he realize that he still loves Christiane and that he must finally be honest with himself if he wants to give his life a chance.
