Pradip Das

The film starts with the veteran thespian Harish Mishra, he is gravely ill. The punishments of a film shoot have left the old man in a coma. His co-star, Shabnam, is wracked with worry, but their director, Siddharth, keeps strangely distant and refuses to visit his ailing star. In flashbacks, their story emerges.

Janala tells the story about a man, Bimal, who decides to give a little back to his old school despite the fact he has very little money himself. As a child Bimal had a favourite corner classroom where he used to sit and daydream out of a broken window, and so when he finds himself back in his old school he feels compelled to replace the window.

Charulata is a 2013 Indian Bengali film, directed by Biswajit Ghosh and Prasenjit Ghosh and produced by White Horse Picture. The film stars Pritha Sur, Rupam, Subir Sanyal, Sritama Das, Pradip Das, Kamalakanto Dutta and Rupa Guria in lead roles. The music of the film was composed by Ekalabya.
