Former friends Kwok Pak-fei, Keung Hei-man, and Lau Lik reunite years after a botched operation led to a tragic death and estrangement. Now, a gruesome murder case tied to a human trafficking ring forces them to work together. As they investigate, mysterious messages appear with clues about the crimes, hinting at knowledge from the future. Together, they form a special unit, ASIB, to decode these messages and solve the chilling case.

Hong Kong traffic E&C inspector To Cheuk Fung is dedicated to his mission. He and his subordinates often go undercover so they can easily prosecute those who speed, drunk drive, and hold illegal licenses. Cheuk Fung is an extremely cold person, serious in speech and manner, but he is strangely close friends with the boisterous Sze Ma of the investigation team. The TV station's senior director Xia Chang (Chen Zhanpeng) is preparing to shoot a new live show, recording the Hong Kong youth Zhang Junjie (Ruan Zhengfeng) from the city back to the mainland to experience the real life of rural life. However their typical life is turned upside down when Kit gets into a car accident and finds her biological mother, while Sing Hong finds out his longtime girlfriend has been living in Hong Kong all along with another man.
Delivery truck driver, Uncle Chuen, works hard every day to put food on the table. His only son, Chong, is only interested in photography. Uncle Chuen doesn’t like how Chong idles his days away doing nothing, and this is a frequent flashpoint between the two. One time during an argument, Uncle Chuen slapped Chong on the face, and Chong ran out of the house, but didn’t forsee that Chong would be hit unexpectedly by a car. Uncle Chuen and his wife rushed to the hospital, but there was no way to save him. The director of organ donation at the hospital found out that Chong had registered as an organ donor before he died. Although Uncle Chuen still could not accept his son’s death, he pushed through the pain to fulfil his son’s dying wish, to leave a gift to those still alive.
