Biography
From the sister cities of Juárez/El Paso, Hugo is a Mexican-American filmmaker with a degree in Radio-Television-Film from UT Austin. A firm believer that film can be an agent of change, Hugo is passionate about exploring, voicing, and supporting underrepresented stories historically excluded from mainstream media. He has written, directed, and produced a variety of projects, in both English and Spanish, ranging from narrative fiction, documentaries, ads, music videos, and more. His work has been featured in multiple film festivals such as the New York Shorts International Film Festival, Georgia Latino International Film Festival, El Paso Film Festival, among others.
