An orthodox heroine astride a motorbike. Young people breaking the monotony of a country life through stunt riding. A meeting against a Western backdrop between two universes that are at odds with each other except for their very reason for being: passion.

Large Christian crosses stand at the summits of Swiss mountains, billboards displaying Bible verses occupy public spaces in cities. The filmmakers have never been comfortable with the presence of these religious symbols. In 2009, mountain guide Patrick Bussard sawed down a cross in the Fribourg Alps – and was severely punished by the courts for doing so.

Loneliness, anger. Artemisia feels she has more in common with the zoo animals than with her mother or the other girls. Perhaps, by losing herself in the wild, she will discover who she is.

Captured then released, a pike develops a fascination for humans. Made from content collected online (netfootage), the film proposes, through absurdity and humor, a reflexion on human nature by exploring its most beautiful qualities as well as its worst faults.

On the outskirts of the “Portas de Ródão”, an exceptional natural monument in Portugal, a paper factory can no longer cope with its condition. She wants to blend into the landscape, she wants to disappear. Through the sensitive eyes of a “disproportionate pile of gears” the film questions the notion of romantic landscape and questions the human impact on what we consider to be part of nature.
