Biography
Kim Bo-sol graduated from Hongik University with a degree in film directing. He subsequently graduated from the Korean Academy of Film Arts (KAFA), majoring in animation. He directed the short films Home and Unique Time before making his feature debut with The Square.

Isak Borg is the first secretary of Swedish Embassy in Pyongyang. Even though he's a diplomat, he is secretly dating Bok-joo, a local traffic officer. One day, after a shady man was seen at their secret meeting spot, Bok-joo goes missing. With his departure date approaching, Borg searches for Bok-joo and begins to get suspicious of his interpreter, Lee Myeong-jun.
The Square
In a world where tall spires fill the sky and unnecessary things are mercilessly discarded, Mogwi, who failed to prove his usefulness and was abandoned by humans as a child, wanders from place to place and ends up staying in a scrapyard. Mogwi, who is wounded, expresses hostility to everyone, but gradually opens up his heart to the robot Rom, who he meets by chance in the scrapyard. Mogwi knows that Rom desperately dreams of returning home, and together they go through hardships and adversities to find Rom's home.
