David Depesseville

Samuel is a wild-looking twelve-year-old orphan who has been placed with a nanny, Marie, for several weeks. Marie, who is struggling between her feelings and her need for money, is married to Clément with whom she has two sons, Alexis and Dimitri. Very quickly Samuel will have to get to know this new family and their possible secrets.

Eleven-year-old Manue and Sophie are best friends. Be it one or the other, their main topic of conversation concerns going out with boys. Manue, her time taken up with a succession of passing fancies, progressively neglects Sophie, who really doesn’t try to grow up. Their shared secrets become shameful and their bond childish. Sophie is betrayed, an incomprehending victim; in some ways, this is her first deception in love.

Every night, in the heart of the forest, Abel and Nadja challenge the curfew and make love. One night, they discover a place which seems protected from the abstract war which surrounds them. A camp where, among others, Leila, Ivan and Samuel welcome them. Then life is going to waste away very hardly and quickly.

Three brothers meet to go to the bedside of their sick mother. While she is dying, her husband and sons will try to survive her. As best they can, the father organizes daily life in silent distress while his sons do not know how to cope with the approaching death.
