As the story of her film diverges further and further from the memory of what happened, she questions whether her creative additions amount to yet another repression of the truth.

Aubrey, a snarky teenager, resents her mother for moving her to a small town after the loss of her father. In their new home, she finds an old diary written in the 80s belonging to a girl named Erica. Through reading the diary, Aubrey finds she relates closely to Erica’s life.

Exploring the bond between a father and daughter amidst the turmoil of divorce, from tender moments of bike riding struggles to present-day emotional upheaval to a fractured relationship as the father's choices drive a wedge between them.
