Biography
Dora de Assis is an actress, playwright, author, and visual artist. Her two books, “Poesia Rouca” (2020) and “Lagartixa Sem Rabo” (2024), were published by Editora Philos. She holds a degree in Visual Arts from UERJ (2021) and a degree in Performing Arts from Célia Helena (2024). She has worked as an actress for eleven years, with her film debut in the film “Mate-me Por Favor” (2015) by Anitta Rocha da Silveira. Her latest work in cinema was as Sandra Pêra in “Homem com H” by Esmir Filho and as Daniela in “Adeus, Verão!” by Diego de Jesus. On stage, she co-authored the play “FELICIDADE À VENDA” (2024), directed by Natasha Corbelino, in which she also appears as an actress, alongside her parents, Lucília de Assis and Alexandre Dacosta. She is the author and actress of the play “ponto ZER0” (2023-2024), directed by Débora Lamm. On television, she was one of the protagonists of “Malhação: Toda Forma de amar” (2019-2020). This year, she makes her debut as Margarida Guedes Penteado, one of the protagonists in the feature film “Mário de Andrade, O Turista Aprendiz” by Murilo Salles.
Known For

Malhação is a Brazilian television series for the teenage audience. The soap started in 1995, and was set in a fictional Gym Club called Malhação on Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. Through the years the location varied slightly. Although the name of the soap remains the same, it is now set in the Múltipla Escolha High School.
