AntĂ´nio is on his deathbed after helping a Black man escape his own father's plantation. Before dying, AntĂ´nio asks his father, Judge Queiroz Antunes, to raise the young enslaved boy, Bento, as his own son.
After suffering a plane crash, Leo receives a blood transfusion and, some time later, discovers that he ended up contracting the AIDS virus. Desperate, he does his best to find out the identity of the bearer of the blood he received, and suffers from the prejudice of friends and people close to him.
Eight women convicted for violent crimes find themselves trapped in a prison where there are no rules and where darkness has only one meaning - death. A shapeless executor is killing the convicts in the same way they committed their crimes. As the mysterious deaths mount up, suspicion grows amongst the prisoners. In a race against time, they will have to overcome rivalries and dig back into their past to find the missing link that can set them free. Who brought them there and what for?
