Biography
Asa (pseudonym), also known by her birth name Marta Ribeiro, was born in Porto, Portugal. Asa finished high school at Escola Artística de Soares dos Reis, specializing in Multimedia, where her first short film “Hotaru” was produced, awarded and winner of the STUFFit Student Film Festival in the Senior Animation Category and Cinedita's Film Festival - Arganil's Shorts Competition. She attended the course Imagem Animada at the University of Algarve, where she was awarded second place in the selection of best animated short at the Sophia Festival - Student Edition, with the film " ímpar " made with two other directors.

An animated interpretation of the poem "The Dead" By Sophia de Mello Breyner. This adaptation follows the perpetual cycle of the immaterial abyss, the faceless human remains, walking hungry for our bodies, wanting to taste once more the true essence of life.
