Shankar Bhattacharya is an Indian actor, director and writer, known for Andhakarer Shabdo (2006), Shadows of Time (2004) and Dour (1979).
Known For

Ravi and Masha are just children when they were sold into labour by their parents. When they meet, friendship blossoms between them but when the factory manager threatens to sell Masha, possibly into sex slavery, Ravi gives up his hard earned savings to buy her freedom. They agree on a way to find each other once Ravi has earned enough money to buy his freedom but a series of misunderstandings and fear tear them apart. Though they now have their freedom in life, they have to find their way in love.
Shadows of Time

Suhas brings Rakesh to Kolkata Race Course at Hastings, the largest horse race venue in India. The latter knows which horse is going to win. Based on Samaresh Majumdar's first novel.
Dour

Residents of Calcutta find solace from their hectic daily lives in conversations at one cafe or another. Newton is a member of one such group of cafe regulars. He appears to be in a romantic relationship with Ananya. Newton wants to start a business. Ananya consults her actress friend Laboni, who asks script-writer Arup to help Newton. However, Arup is perhaps too mysterious a character.
