Ten-year-old Palkó has just moved home to Budapest from Berlin and observes the daily life of an ordinary Hungarian elementary school with confused amazement. Juci, the young teacher just started working there. She is the only one who understands Palkó, as in their own way, they are both suffering from the same, sometimes grotesque educational system.

24 year old Ádám lives the calm life of a small-time pot dealer in his late-grandma's apartment, in the outskirts of Budapest. Since he left home, he created himself a low-key but functional life, which no one can really disturb. No one but perhaps Bence, his 14-year-old half-brother who just left home and is looking for refuge at Ádám’s place.

On the night of her birthday party, stranded between a distant boyfriend and a friend in love with her, Aliz unravels amid tension and lies until she realizes: the only way out is to choose herself.

Emi wants to talk to Ádám, but the turmoil of the party is pushing them further apart. Their friends seem to be having a good time, but they all have personal stories of unfulfilled love. At daybreak, Emi summons all her courage and tries to tell Ádám how she feels.
