Biography
A screenwriter and director from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Sarah Aristy completed a Bachelor's degree in Film and Audiovisual Communication at the Technological Institute of Santo Domingo (INTEC) and later a Master's degree in Film at Syracuse University (United States) as a Fulbright scholar. Her creative work explores family dynamics, Caribbean identity, and women's perspectives in modernity through the short films "Retrato Familiar" (2018), "Somos los culpables" (2020), and "Pajarito" ("Little Bird," 2023). She currently teaches film and is developing her first feature film.

As the paintings lock eyes across the room, an unspoken connection between them sets the stage for revolution. With a distinctive blend of live-action and animation, this short film by Evan Bode employs surreal metaphor to explore ideas about power, resistance, queer identity, visibility, and liberation from constructed borders.

Mary, an audacious fashion photographer, one day takes something that does not belong to her from a cemetery and experiences unnatural events afterward. She assumes that by returning the object to its original place, she can avoid these occurrences, but nothing goes as she imagined.

Armando, an energetic teen and son of a well-respected Sargent, accidentally commits a serious crime while playing a wild and dangerous game with his friends outside of the school campus. Now Armando will have to deal with the weight of his actions (literally).
REBÚ
A Mini Market employee finds herself in a very terrifying situation: a robbery. This robbery is carried out by a man who, arguably, isn't the typical intimidating, burly robber we see in movies. Our protagonist doesn't fall for his games and threats, which leads to a very interesting resolution.
