An anthology film created under one theme by 3 directors who are creating their own colors in contemporary Mongolian cinema.

Mongolia, 1960's. An old herdswoman lives alone in her yurt in the great Gobi Desert. Visitors from the national registration office come to collect information from her for the census. Sarcastically naming the elderly woman "pretty lady", they question her about her identity - but she divulges little. However, when one of the officers stays the night to count her livestock, she opens up to him with a dramatic tale of love, sacrifice, and motherhood.

On the night before the 1975 Soum Naadam, Balgaa, a young man, rides a dangerous racehorse to protect his beloved daughter, Tsevelmaa, and is injured and remains ill for life. Twenty years later, the young man is raising Tsoomoo alone, but he is in danger of being separated from his son. Amidst past secrets, old friendships, and conflicts of interest, Balgaa fights to keep his son. Finally, the truth is revealed, and the moment comes when the son's fate is decided between the heart of a mother and the great love of a father. There is light within every person.
