Xan Marçall

An experimental work, mixing documentary and fiction that brings stories of trans people marked by the geographic territory of the North and Northeast region. The film is a cartography about transcetralities in the North and Northeast of Brazil, in which poetry, spirituality, politics, education, activism, and Afro-indigenous worldviews are foundations in the existential and identity processes of trans/transvestite people in these territories.

SHE, a trans woman of approximately 35 years old, prepares the house for a religious ceremony, Noite de lauaraete, an enchanted entity from the virgin forests, which ELA receives on the nights of the full moon.
