Satoshi Itomura is an assistant police investigator who belongs to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Scientific Investigation Team. Reenactments, fingerprint and voice data collections, profiling... His team collects scientific evidence and pieces together fragments of information in order to help build evidences. However, Itomura often does not care about the scientific approach and instead pays a great deal of attention to the things that the victims always carried with them or treasured. And he focuses on these things because they usually carry the victim’s dying wishes, understanding that last message not only helps solve the cases but also brings closure to the depressed family of victims.
Set in Osaka, high-spirited yakuza Kuwabara and buttoned-down construction consultant Ninomiya form an odd couple as they rail against the city’s “bad elements” drawn to money like sharks to the scent of blood. Laced with the characteristic witty banter of the Osaka dialect here is a gritty, hard-boiled drama that explodes with violent thrills and impact that defies all expectations.
This "drama in verse" is based on the ancient Japanese myth of Susano-o and the many-headed serpent Yamata-no-Orochi.
On the top floor of a skyscraper in New York, a party is being held to announce the engagement of actress Brenda Burton to Jake MacNaughton, the son and heir of the president of El Grande, the number one underwear manufacturer in the U.S.A. While Jake is about to marry Brenda for publicity objectives for the company.

His father is a very successful hotel owner, and the letter basically states that Gerard is to come home, buckle down and learn the business, and marry a woman of his father's choosing.
