Set in the 1940s during World War II and before Tunisia's independence, the series reflects the Tunisian resistance to French colonialism, whether by the people (through the "Fellagha" group) or the trade union, emphasizing all aspects of that period and the social, economic, and political events.
Three officers sent by the Bey, arrives to a farming village to collect taxes. The villagers initiate the payoff sharing their goods but the bey's messengers persist in humiliating them, infringing their dignity and honor, which triggered contestations.
After years of absence, a man comes back to a hometown that no longer feels like his, pushing him to question identity, memory, and the meaning of home.
