That is until they are all invited to join the " Runaway" group - whose goal is to participate in "On the Run - Mission in Tokyo", where if they manage to outrun everyone, they win 100 million yen! The six men reunite, managing to reignite their friendship... However, this game is not at all like the TV show. Kronos, the managing company for this version has been taken over by a new game master with hunters that are going out of control! When contestants are captured, they are covered in a shadow and disappear. This game is no longer just for fun but a potential death game with 10 billion yen now on the line! Just who will survive and at what cost...?

Four glowing orbs of different color fly through space, chasing after a dark red orb. After a fierce battle, only the blue orb falls to earth, into the room where Michiru is sleeping. But the dark red orb also appears on earth. The orb changes shape into the form of a boy, and starts to illegally raise Mejiro birds. Later, Michiru is at a flea market in a park, when a large flock of Mejiro birds cover the sky, and start attacking people. The yellow, silver, and purple orbs show up and almost manage to calm down the Mejiro, but violence is about to break out again. At that moment, Michiru hears a voice inside her head asking her to save the Mejiro.

Yazawa, a Japanese pilot, suffers a crash in his Phantom jetfighter. After a six month recovery, his old friend from an airplane magazine wants him to investigate the appearance of a Phantom in an armed conflict in El Salvador. Yazawa's investigations makes him wind up in an international arms conspiracy. Based on a series of military fiction novels.

The film is a slapstick action comedy about company employees, known as "underground employees," who secretly handle problems that cannot be solved in public. The story unfolds when the group receives a mission to demolish a shuttered shopping district in order to build a commercial complex. Also appearing in the film are underground employees of rival companies with the same mission, a large landowner who is the target of both companies, a passionate man trying to revive a shopping district that is on the verge of collapse, and a man with some kind of secret.

The story follows a group of high school students as they approach graduation, just months away. Each student grapples with their dreams, worries, and inner conflicts as they face crucial life decisions.
