As the film traces the thousands of pounds of crawfish served up at the festival to their natural habitat, the Atchafalaya Basin, fishermen from Catahoula tel stories of their fight to retain their way of life. It is an old story in Louisiana: the pople and land suffer from the exploitation of the oil companies. What is at stake is the loss of the most productive swamp in the world and the people's connection to that land.

This equine love affair began more than 250 years ago on the first ranches of South Louisiana. Creoles and Cajuns are some of America's first cowboys. Not only essential to hard ranch work, horses were often the focus of French Louisiana's renowned joie de vivre. T-Galop romps playfully across South Louisiana through professional sports to community ritual bearing witness to a modern horse culture that was born many centuries ago.

Following four dynamic Cajun women in Southwestern Louisiana as they go about their daily lives while telling and showing us what ironing means to them. Ironing is a nurturing, emotional, and learned process, transmitted from mothers to daughters; it is an activity performed with aesthetic sensibilities that connect these women to other women in their community.
