After an accident, the Betizus land on a desert-like planet.

After defeating the evil Bull and freeing Xanua, the Betizus head home in their spaceship. However, not everyone has boarded... After stealing the plans from Marroiri, Arratik has decided to stay in the desert, hoping to reclaim the lost treasure of the Xangadu cows. After some discussion, the Betizus decide to return to the planet Xangadu to follow Arrati's trail. Our protagonists do not yet know that they will encounter the mystery of the golden rind. Betizu and the golden rind is the sequel to the hugely successful Betizu and the Mystery of Xangadu.

Las Betizú are an unassuming underground band. A series of circumstances leads them to compete in Uztarrock, the biggest festival in the galaxy, organized by Buff Alu, a famous magnate who owns almost all the galactic record labels. Surprisingly, Las Betizú will be selected as the breakthrough band of the year. But one of them accidentally realizes the sham that is Buff Alu's musical empire, and Las Betizú are accused of plagiarism and rejected by their fans. They soon have to come up with a plan to save their musical career...
