Córdoba, Argentina, 1976. It was an August night when soldiers dressed as civilians broke into Pablo and Vera's house. They must do everything possible to save themselves and protect their little daughter.

Malena, 17, is playing with her daughter Marina when she is interrupted by her grandmother, who asks her to go run an errand. She goes out with her daughter in her arms to make the delivery a few blocks from her house, where she meets two young men in a car.

This documentary covers the life of Santiago Avendaño, the first former captive born in Argentine territory to leave us a written testimony. Avendaño was captured by the Ranquel Indians at the age of 7 in 1842 and escaped at the age of fifteen in 1849. Avendaño dedicated his life and work to defending the rights of Indians in Argentine territory, to mediating between the aboriginal communities and white society as an interpreter, soldier, government official and writer.
