Gustavo Petro, in full Gustavo Francisco Petro Urrego, (born April 19, 1960, Ciénaga de Oro, Colombia), Colombian politician and former member of the Marxist guerrilla group 19th of April Movement (M-19) who in 2022 became the first leftist to serve as the president of Colombia.

In 2018, a group of filmmakers calling themselves "Los Quietos" set out to make a film essay on a hypothetical syndrome of stillness in the Republic of Colombia. To this end, they invite Colombian documentary master Luis Ospina, presidential candidate Gustavo Petro and writer Juan Gabriel Vásquez to give them clues to delve into the history, geography and idiosyncrasy of Colombia, a country that, paradoxically, has very little of stillness. For unknown reasons, the project remained unfinished.

The feature-length documentary, "La Política del Amor" (The Policy of Love), simply narrates essential aspects of the life of the current President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro Urrego, through documentary testimonies and scenes. Jenniffer Steffens Colombian actress, dabbled in film at the same time she did her acting studies. She has worked in different areas of film and television production and direction in Colombia. She is a show runner. This is her debut film "La política del amor".
