Nine-year-old Mitya lives with his grandmother in the village. Everything in the boy's life is familiar and understandable until his grandmother falls ill and sends him to the pharmacy in the district center. Along the way, Mitya meets manga fan Kira, and this meeting changes everything for Mitya. Meanwhile, his grandmother waits for her medicine.

The documentary tells about the illustrated diary of a salt worker from the flooded village of Dedyukhino. His whole life is in it, as well as the life of an entire generation at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.

In a small Russian town, life goes on as usual, but the city is unusual - mythical creatures live next door to people. The main character goes through the route and collects items that help her connect these two worlds.
