The beloved poet of Turkey, Nazım Hikmet, is featured on the silver screen for the period he spent in prison after 1941. Imprisoned for communist propaganda, Nazım became legendary within the prison walls as his fame grew by word of mouth. A group of friends formed around him, inspired by his poetry and painting. However, the only thing on Nazım Hikmet's mind was his wife, Piraye. He was very curious about his wife, from whom he had not heard for a long time. As the misery of the war years made itself felt, the devastating news for Nazım was not long in coming. His 28-year prison sentence was confirmed.

Two men with very different lives and stories cross paths to smuggle hookah tobacco into Turkey via Georgia. Tahir, who has been doing this job for a long time, has realized that he will not get anywhere with small jobs and is looking for big things. Ömer, who will be smuggling for the first time, plans to do it permanently if no problems arise. Of course, these things are not so easy.

Murat, who has just been imprisoned, asks for a request to his wife Sema, which is against the procedures. Sema cannot stand her husband's pressure and tries to get Murat's request into the prison by illegal means. But the prison has excessive precautions.

Türkan and Selma start competing secretly to take the money. When Türkan puts the money into Mert's bag, Necati catches her and an argument breaks out among them.
