Baz Black is an Award Winning Actor/Writer/Director from Ireland best known for playing Ged Delaney in Season 1 & 2 of AMCS IFTA Winning show 'KIN' Chalky in Season 6 of 'Brassic' and as Writer/Director of the smash hit feature film 'Dublin Crust' that he wrote, directed and stars in was released in cinemas in September 2023. During its impressive 6-week run, it not only sold out screenings nationwide but also garnered enthusiastic 5-star reviews from reputable publications such as Hot Press Magazine and The Irish Independent. 'Dublin Crust' has secured Worldwide distribution with Indie Rights and is now available to stream on Amazon Prime Video reaching the Number 1 Spot in its first week. Baz will Direct a major movie Biopic based on Formula 1 racing driver Tommy Byrne in 2025 called 'Crashed & Byrned' Baz founded his production company 'Sure Look Productions' in 2017. He wrote and directed his debut Short Film 'Reflection' which won numerous Awards including 'Best European Short' and "The Albert Pyun Award for 'Best Director' His second Short Film 'Merrow' based on Irish Mythology once again received many awards including 'The Overall Spirit of the Festival Award' and "The Hollywood Reporter Award' in LA for Best International Short. He wrote and produced TV Series 'Just Messing" and is Co-Creator of 'Farlight' a Horror Canadian feature film that he will also star in. Pre-Production has begun on his second feature a psychological horror called 'Repent' and principal photography will begin later this year. Baz is an accomplished acting workshop leader and mentor coach, renowned for his engaging approach to performance arts. He is a sought-after keynote speaker at various events, where he shares his insights and experiences in the industry. In addition to his workshops and speaking engagements, Baz is the host of the podcast 'Fix It In Post,' a platform dedicated to discussing mental health issues faced by creatives. Through his work, he aims to inspire and support individuals in the arts, fostering a community that prioritizes well-being and creativity. Baz is also an accomplished drummer, wrote best selling book 'Ink Princess' and has toured doing stand up comedy. He has practiced the martial art of Jiu Jitsu since the age of 15 and competed on the European Jiu Jitsu Team.
