The events of the work take place in a historical social drama framework in the thirties of the last century, presenting the issue of a conflict between two families living in the Gafsa Valley in southern Tunisia and disputing over an inheritance.

It tells the historical events that took place in the last years of the reign of reformed reformer Ahmad Bey I (ruled between 1837 and 1855), including reforms and reforms of Khairuddin Pasha in Tunisia and the political, financial, economic and social crises experienced by the Tunisian country.

Through complex contemporary cases, the series explores the legal profession, revealing clashes between rigid laws and human suffering. It follows courageous defenders of justice, battling to uphold dignity and rights in a world full of challenges.
