A young boy named Abacus comes home to find his dysfunctional mother missing. With the aid of a juke box angel and an alien named Ora, Abacus travels through multiple dimensions to rescue his mother from the evil that holds her captive.

Explores a secret society of African Americans in inner city New Orleans as they devote their time and skills to create hand-beaded Indian costumes that embody a cultural, spiritual and ancient power that has kept Africa alive in the new world despite slavery and it's legacy.
