A young man named "Rajabali Safari," who is considered by the public to be somewhat "clumsy," accidentally finds himself in a predicament and is forced to marry three women with contrasting personalities. To keep all three of them, he employs numerous strategies.

Prince Ehtejab, one of the last remaining heirs of the Qajar royal family, is suffering from tuberculosis, which he knows is fatal. He spends his last days alone in the magnificent rooms of his wintry palace, from where he recollects the glory days of his ancestors as well as days of degradation. Among the latter are the gruesome manner in which his cruel grandfather murdered his mother and brother, and the way that he himself caused the death of his wife.

Iraj, whose job is to pickpocket money, forgets his past by starting an honorable life. He meets a rich girl and marries her soon after. Iraj's past friends do not sit still and inform the girl's father about his records, and the girl's father expels Iraj from his house with his child. Years later, during Iraj's engagement, Iraj's wife recovers from her husband and begins a new life.

A thief stops stealing and some of his criminal companions are also caught by the police, but he himself is pursued by the thieves.

A wealthy man summons his sons and their wives to divide his inheritance among them before his death. While he is preaching to his children and daughters-in-law in the basement of the house, he dies, and at the same moment as his death, an earthquake blocks the exit from the basement.

By threatening to enforce Abdollah's checks and promissory notes, the lustful woman causes Abdollah to divorce his wife Zinat and leave his two children, Touraj and Faraj, and marry her. The woman does not get pregnant and they take a girl from the orphanage to raise.
