Trolltider – the legend of the Bergatrollet is SVT's Christmas calendar 2023, directed by Lisa Farzaneh from a script by Ola Norén and Roland Ulvselius. The series is a "reboot" to SVT's Christmas calendar Trolltider from 1979 with partly the same characters but a new story.

The young Crown Prince Carl Wilhelm is suddenly forced to flee the royal castle when his mother the Queen disappears. He meets the poor girl Hilda who helps him assume a false identity as an orphanage boy.

An artificial black hole crashes straight into an old mansion. The crash means that the year 2020 is connected with the year 1920. When Mira and Rakel stand in front of the hole, something strange happens.

Valle's birthday threatens to be a washout: His mother is on a research trip, and all he gets is an old, dusty bicycle. But Biciklo is not just any old bike. It has magical powers and rides by itself. One day, shady businessmen come to the small town. They want to snatch the residents' houses and lure them with fraudulent offers. Valle and his girlfriend Jasmina do everything to save their home. But the criminals don't like that at all.
