Santa Monica in 1933. Freddie Clark looks around the streets of his hometown after being away for several years. Having been hit by the Great Depression, Santa Monica has lost its buzz as a resort town. He walks along the city streets together with his friend Steve Donovan on his way to visit the home of a client who has hired him as a bodyguard. The client is Doyle Lauren, a researcher and creator of a number of inventions. Doyle is on the verge of completing a revolutionary invention, the likes of which the world has never seen. He wants his only daughter, Kathy, protected right up until the time his research is safely completed.

Dali and his company try to uncover the secret. Who is “The Puppeteer”, the mastermind behind this situation? Why was Dali led to Marionette Hotel? As Dali tries to uncover the secret, a past connection reveals itself.

Inside the village of Poe a mysterious noble family takes residence with their son Edgar and ill daughter Marybell. Edgar is quickly intrigued by Allan, the heir of a transportation company, who catches his eye by almost running him over with a horse. The romance of vampire legends has traveled about for hundreds of years, and in 1987 Star Troupe performed this production with Shion Yuu in the pivotal role. This very popular show was a unique theme for Takarazuka-- the first act is on classical and aesthetic beauty, and the second act is a more modern pop style of Count Dracula's love.
