Naciye sings on the streets to live and one day she is discovered by a famous casino owner. Then Naciye falls into love with her piano teacher Cuneyt. Casino owner Ekrem starts to make a trouble.

There is an eternal rivalry between Nebahat and Polim Hüseyin, who work at the same taxi stand. They witness the last breath of an elderly man who dies as a result of a settling of scores between Arab mafias. Before he dies, the man offers them a large reward if they find his nephew. There is now a valid reason for the rivalry between Nebahat and Polim Hüseyin. They take action to find Zennube and fulfill her will. However, the situation is more serious than they anticipated. They must set aside their stubbornness and work together.

Based on the novel of Peyami Safa, the movie centers on the life of Mebure who arrives in Istanbul after the Greeks occupy Western Anatolia. In Istanbul, Mebure begins to live with her relatives who live in very good conditions and sooner or later Behic, the son of the house, starts to be interested in Mebure and tries to make use of her. In the meantime, Mebure tries to find her missing father.
