Biography
Jason Todd is a filmmaker, curator and writer. He curates for Rendez-Vous Québec Cinéma and Tënk, where he previously served as artistic director. As a writer, he has contributed to Séquences magazine, Talking Short and the 24 images blog. In the past, he has worked as a short film distributor (h264), filmmaker-mentor with Indigenous artists (Wapikoni), photochemical lab technician (MELS) and was a film tech on tv show How it's Made. He currently serves on the board of the Short Film Conference and sits on various jury committees at the Montreal Arts Council.

The Fade of Day

The roar of their engines is a short documentary film set in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, a territory that still bears the scars of an ongoing 50 years-old conflict, where peace talks are at a standstill. Meanwhile, the Turkish-Cypriot population is aging, silently and away from the spotlight, on disputed and over-militarized lands. This war no longer concerns them.
The Roar of Their Engines

White Noise explores the links between people and their land, and how fragile this relationship can be. Even though the film is presented under the themes of material and metaphysical loss and grief, the poetic discourse calls for hope through respect and humility.
