In the 1994 post-martial law period in Taiwan, the students were in the midst of protest. Chi-wei, a female college student, joins the strike to fight for their freedom of expression. During the protest, she slowly becomes attracted to Ching, the girlfriend of the leader of the student strike.

Four female high school students gathered together because of a wishing legend on the internet. The four people performed a ceremony to realize their wishes. They could not speak and look back. In the process, the four people showed their desires and conflicts with each other. A silent dispute broke out.

Mr.Huang, a truck driver who is legally the guardian, travels north to accompany his daughter, whom he hasn't seen for many years, to apply for a student loan for her university education. He pretends to have forgotten to bring his identification card, hoping to use this as an opportunity to spend more time with his daughter.

As tensions escalate across the Taiwan Strait, a theatre photographer unknowingly captures a ghost. From that moment on, the theatre begins to quietly take the place of reality.
