Anna Lysis is a celebrated drag queen and singer. Over the course of one night, she encounters various older men, all of whom desire and harass her with their lustful looks, comments, and gestures. In the end, all of these encounters culminate in an act of violence that raises questions about trauma, oppression, and identity.
Yiftach of the Night is my alter ego who goes out in the dead of night for sexual encounters with older men, encounters I never told anyone about. A docu-hybrid film that traces those encounters, recreates them, and brings me back into contact with my mother and father.
