Last Chicken on Earth

Set in an Indonesian suburban Middle-Class neighborhood, Udin’s Inferno, tells a story about 12 years old kid named Udin, who got traumatized after reading a comic book about a depiction of hell torture. In the book, Udin sees a very graphic and disturbing violent depiction of tormented sinners that haunts him throughout the day. One of the sinners in the book is a person who got a tattoo in his life. One of his friends mocks Udin, a tattooed person in the book is Udin’s father, a guy who got tattoos all over his body. Udin thinks if he can manage to erase his father’s tattoo, he can save him and his father from getting to hell in the afterlife. Udin tries all efforts to erase his father’s tattoo which he obviously fails. Udin cannot deal with his obvious failure. He got even more haunted by his own depiction of hell not only when he was awake, but also in his sleep. In the end, his fears and trauma turn into a nightmare.

In a Lisbon techno club, Abdul, an immigrant worker on his very first shift, is on a video call with his wife Aliyah, who is going into labor and urging him to be present, while his new boss Maria desperately calls for his help. Caught between work’s demands and his son’s birth, Abdul grapples with the fear of losing his job and the challenge of becoming a father from afar, and fights with his strict father-in-law for his right to perform the sacred tradition of reciting the Adhan for his newborn son. The film Prayer, which explores the intersection of tradition, fatherhood, and the struggles of undocumented immigrant labor, is based on the autobiographical story of its screenwriter, Deo Mahameru. The project was created as a student film within the KinoEyes Joint European Film Masters at Lusofona University in Lisbon.

All become interrelated after they each get involved in a mind boggling life-changing event related to the places where they usually board train for their daily activities' needs.
