Two hit-men, Ben and Gus, are waiting in a basement room for their assignment. As the play begins, Ben, the senior member of the team, is reading a newspaper, and Gus, the junior member, is tying his shoes. Gus asks Ben many questions as he gets ready for their job and tries to make tea.

This old-fashioned drama tells about how Christmas Day fatefully affected the life of a bachelor from Novi Sad. With the help of his servant, this former scoundrel, gambler and loner transforms into a man who knows how to help another, and fall in love.

A writer is astonished to see the characters from his story come to life. However, the situation complicates when he tries to deal with his creations.
