Biography
Lala Aliyeva-Klychkova was born on February 19, 1977 in Baku, Azerbaijan. She graduated from the School of Humanities of Khazar University in 1998. She wrote her first feature script in 2004. That script was read by an American actor Lane Davies who praised her first script and gave her confidence in her work.
Known For

The short film tells the story of a woman who was betrayed by the man she loved and lost her unborn child. The depressed woman arrives at a deserted beach, where she becomes a silent witness to the clarification of her life story.
The Dog that Drinks Seawater

In the north of Azerbaijan, at a lakeside sanctuary: three trees are adorned with fabrics woven by the women residing in the neighbouring village, who would come to ward off their sorrows by making nature their ally. With poignant gentleness, Lala Aliyeva’s camera brings back to life this mirror-like place where women, in the past, were released, at least spiritually from their harsh condition.
