Biography
Pablo José Martínez Ruiz, known as PJ Martínez, has a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Málaga and a Master's degree in Cinematography and Visual Arts in School Training, a local film school. He works as a location director, having worked on music videos and short films, also as a film critic and screenwriter for Historia del Cine.es. My Uncle Manolo is his first short film, it is a family portrait of his great-uncle's life as a local police officer, an award-winning film at festivals in Colombia and India, in addition to having been selected at other festivals in Algeria, Kazakhstan and the United States.
