Takeshi Hongo is a promising young man with a passion for motorcycle racing. However, his dreams are suddenly ruined when he gets kidnapped by Shocker, the evil secret organization planning to dominate the world. After being remodeled into a cyborg, Takeshi escapes and swears to protect the world from the inhuman monsters.
Since 1975, Japan’s iconic Super Sentai series has defined the tokusatsu landscape. Now, after 50 years, Japan’s weekly tokusatsu broadcasting timeslot will welcome a brand-new project by Toei titled, PROJECT R.E.D. (short for Records of Extraordinary Dimensions). PROJECT R.E.D. is a new tokusatsu series featuring a red hero in action.
In ancient times, gigantic creatures called "Mega Horn" ruled the Earth, but they were sealed away in items called "Egorgear" and disappeared. In modern times, humans have emerged using megaphone-like items called "Kakuseiki" to draw out the power of the Mega Horn sealed in the Egorgear. They've come to be known as "Hunters". Shout the Flame, an explorer well-versed in ancient scripts one day discovers a Kakuseiki and an Egorgear on an altar of an ancient ruin. Confused by the "Omegahorn", which is different from the standard version, he sets the Egorgear in place and a giant horned beast named Enkaku appears! Seeing the qualities of a "king" in Shout's Ego, Enkaku demands to call himself "Captain Omegahorn" and fight alongside him, leading to a battle against a diverse cast of hunters wherever they go.
Godzilla suddenly makes landfall from Tokyo Bay. The Self-Defense Forces begin their attack in Kabukicho, Shinjuku. However, during the battle, it is discovered that Godzilla’s body temperature is rising rapidly…!
