Biography
Jorge G. Camarena is a writer and director from Guadalajara, Mexico, where he studied Communication Sciences before earning his MFA as a Directing Fellow at the AFI Conservatory. Recently selected as a BAFTA Newcomers talent. His short film Spaceship earned recognition including a Student Emmy nomination, an ASC Student nomination, the DGA Student Awards grand prize, a student Gotham Award, and Best Short at both Urbanworld and the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival. Jorge’s music video work has received four MTV Video Award nominations and a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Video.
