Ma Qunxiong

To develop a potent anti-cancer drug, a research team ventures to a secluded island in search of an ancient plant known as "Fire Prison Vine Lotus". On the island, they encounter attacks from prehistoric creatures and uncover Jurassic-era ruins. After numerous challenges and securing the plant's stamen, the team faces relentless pursuit by velociraptors, leading to their separation, with only three members surviving the ordeal.

In 1911, after avenging his master Huo Yuanjia, Chen Zhen dedicates himself to the revolutionary cause by joining the Tongmenghui. He is assigned to investigate secret collusion between warlords and Japanese forces within the Tianjin foreign concession.

This film tells the story of Fan Shiyu overcoming the difficulties on the way forward with the help and encouragement of his teachers and classmates, and finally realizing his dream through unremitting efforts.

The film, which revolves around the Hmong Lusheng, is an ethnic minority style film that combines comedy, inspiration and musical elements. In the film, Tao Tianyi, the only son of a Miao "Golden Lusheng" family, is expected by his father to carry on the honour of the "Golden Lusheng".
